NEW DELHI — The Supreme Court has issued an order barring law interns from entering its courtrooms on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. The decision was made following a request from the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) to address severe overcrowding on these designated miscellaneous hearing days.

The SCBA cited difficulties for senior advocates and regular practitioners to move around, as well as interns occupying seats intended for practicing lawyers.

The order specifies that law interns will continue to have access to the court premises and corridors on Wednesdays and Thursdays, which are regular hearing days.
