About
The Department of Legal Affairs (DoLA), Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India invites applications for its Paid Internship Programme. This is a unique opportunity for law students to gain exposure to the functioning of the Department at the Main Secretariat (New Delhi) and Branch Secretariats across India.
Internship Details
Total Seats: 50 (across Main & Branch Secretariats)
Duration: One Month (extendable based on performance and Department’s requirements)
Honorarium: ₹1,000 (on successful completion of internship and submission of report)
Location: Main Secretariat (New Delhi) & Branch Secretariats (multiple locations)
Eligibility
Law students pursuing:
3rd year onwards of a 5-year integrated LL.B. programme OR
2nd year onwards of a 3-year LL.B. programme OR
Persons who have completed a law degree course
Internship Requirements & Protocol
Interns must sign a Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Internship does not constitute employment or guarantee of future employment.
Interns must follow instructions of the Department regarding official communications.
Library access: Reference only (borrowing not allowed). Photocopying facility available.
Dress Code: Formal – Black trousers with White shirt.
Entry Passes: To be collected from the respective Admin Section (Main/Branch Secretariat).
Internship Deliverables
Internship Report: Each intern must submit a detailed report at the end of the internship.
Certificate of Internship: Issued upon satisfactory completion of internship and submission of report.
Selection Process
Screening of applications will be conducted by the Department.
Selected interns will be intimated via email.
The Department reserves the right to terminate internship for unsatisfactory performance.
💰 Payment
Honorarium of ₹1,000 will be paid only after successful completion of internship and submission of report.
