About the Internship
The internship is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in:
Legal research and analysis
Policy drafting and review
Examination of existing and proposed legislations
Study of Law Commission reports and judicial developments
Preparation of research papers and legal documents
Interns will work closely with Chairpersons, Members, and Research Officers on ongoing projects related to legal reforms and modernization of the Indian legal system.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications are open for:
Students of 3-year LL.B. courses (2nd & 3rd year)
Students of 5-year integrated law courses (2nd to 5th year)
LL.B., LL.M., and research scholars from recognized institutions
Candidates can apply only once during a financial year.
Duration
Standard duration: 4 Weeks
Extendable up to 8 Weeks subject to approval and performance review.
Mode & Location
The internship is generally conducted physically at the Law Commission office in New Delhi. However, hybrid or remote mode may be permitted depending on the nature of work and administrative discretion.

Selected interns may be assigned tasks such as:
Research on contemporary legal issues

Drafting consultation papers
Assisting in seminars and discussions
Preparation of presentations or research papers
Certificate
A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of the internship based on:
Work performance
Attendance
Submission of research paper/presentation
Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory.
Stipend
This is an unpaid internship. Interns will have to bear their own travel, accommodation, and personal expenses.
